Baby Story Time at Your Library

  • Mondays, 10:30 a.m. – Pensacola Library
  • Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. – Tryon Library
Join us for stories, songs, and rhymes. This program is suggested for babies ages 0 to 2 years and their caregivers but is open to everyone.

Chill Fridays for Teens

  • Friday, Nov. 4, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library
Drop by and learn tips and tricks to de-stress and have fun! Art, games, meditation, yoga, house plants – there’s something for everyone. Recommended for ages 13-18.

Creation Stations

  • Saturday, Nov. 5, open hours – Pensacola Library
  • Saturday, Nov. 19, open hours – Pensacola Library
Join us in the Youth Services department on the first and third Saturday of the month for Creation Stations. Directions and supplies will be set up at stations for youth and their families to complete at their own pace. Available while supplies last during open hours. Each month will host a different activity.

Dos and Don’ts for a Safe Festive Feast, with Escambia County UF/IFAS Extension Office

  • Friday, Nov. 18, 10:30 a.m.– Molino Library
Join us as we learn how to have a safe Thanksgiving feast from Escambia County UF/IFAS Extension Agent, Dorothy Lee. Topics will cover everything from safe food handling during meal prep to packing the leftovers.

Dream Catchers, Teepees and Headbands

  • Wednesday, Nov. 16, 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – Westside Library
Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with a variety of crafts.

“Experience a New Perspective” at West Florida Public Libraries Museum Series

  • Perdido Muscogee Tribe: Nov. 9 and 16, 1 p.m. – Pensacola Library
  • Chappie James Museum: Nov. 10, 11:30 p.m. – Pensacola Library
  • Pensacola Heritage Foundation: Nov. 17, 2 p.m.– Pensacola Library
WFPL has partnered up with area museums to showcase a sample of their collection. Join us and learn about the Pensacola area's rich culture, art and history.

Fall Into Wreath Making

  • Thursday, Nov. 3, 5 p.m. – Century Library
Join us for a fun time of crafting and learning how to make a fall wreath that you get to take home. The library will supply all the needed materials.

Family Story Time at Your Library

  • Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. – Bellview Library

Join us for exciting stories, songs, and movement. This program is suggested for children ages 2 to 5 years and their caregivers but is open to everyone. STEAM Story Time will happen once a month at each location during the regular story time slot.

Felt Placemat

  • Tuesday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. – Molino Library
The leaves are falling at Molino! Join us in making fall leaf placemats to decorate your table for your holiday meal.

Find-It-Out Fridays: Decorate Your Thanksgiving Table

  • Friday, Nov. 4, 3 p.m. – Tryon Library
Have fun learning how to make your own Thanksgiving decor with our Silhouette vinyl sticker machine.

LEGO Club

  • Thursday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m. – Century Library
  • Thursdays in November, 4:30 p.m. – Bellview Library
Calling all master builders: come get your build on with us! We have a variety of bricks, even larger ones for smaller builders.

Learn to Macrame III: Leaf Key Chain

  • Friday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. – Pensacola Library 
Join us and learn how to macramé. This month we will learn how to tie a cow hitch knot while creating a decorative fall leaf keychain.  For ages 12 and up, available while supplies last.

Legal Services of North Florida and Council on Aging

  • Wednesday, Nov. 2, 10:30 a.m. – Tryon Library
Come to Tryon Library to hear from Legal Services of North Florida attorneys on a first come, first served basis. Council on Aging will join LSNF periodically to give guidance on services to seniors.

Local Author Showcase

  • Saturday, Nov. 12, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  – Pensacola Library
Celebrate the Pensacola area’s local authors in West Florida Public Libraries’ showcase event. Local authors writing for both youth and adults will be available to discuss their work. Check out a book by a local author from our collection when you visit!

National STEAM Day Party

  • Tuesday, Nov. 8, 4 p.m. – Bellview Library
Celebrate National STEAM Day with us and learn about all things STEAM. This is your opportunity to let us know what type of programs and opportunities you want at your branches. Come meet the team and enjoy crafts and STEAM snacks. All ages are welcome.

Pensacola Opera at the Library

  • Wednesday, Nov. 9, 4-5 p.m. – Westside Library
Join representatives from the Pensacola Opera for a special adaptation of the Bremen Town Musicians. The suggested audience for these performances is preschool to fourth grade. Stay tuned for more dates at other WFPL locations!

Pet-PAW-Looza: Adopt a Shelter Dog at the Library

  • Saturday, Nov. 19, 1:30 – Pensacola Library  
Stop by to visit our furry friends from the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare and possibly take home a new addition to your family. Pet toy crafting stations will also be available. The adoption fee for this event is $5. All ages are welcome.

Stained Glass Canvas Painting

  • Saturday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. – Century Library
Join us to learn how to make your own stained glass on canvas masterpiece. All materials are provided by the library.

Sewing at Southwest Library

  • Monday, Nov. 7 and 21, 10 a.m. – Southwest Library
Join us as we learn to sew. We always have beginners’ projects available to get you started or you can bring in whatever you are currently working on. The library provides sewing machines, scissors, thread, and other accessories to help you on your sewing journey. All skill levels are welcome.

Sugar Buzz

  • Friday, Nov. 4, 4 p.m. – Bellview Library
Now that all your Halloween candy is gone, come learn how all that sugar affects your body! In honor of Good Nutrition month, join the STEAM team in a sweet experiment on the effects of sugar on the body. Recommended for ages 5-12 years old

TinkerCad Academy: Food Pyramid Design

  • Wednesday, Nov. 16, 4 p.m. – Bellview Library
Learn the basics of TinkerCAD as we talk about our favorite food and where they belong on the Food Pyramid. This is an entry-level computer 3D modeling activity recommended for ages 7 and up.

The Study Spot for Teens

  • Tuesday, Nov. 8, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library
  • Saturday, Nov. 19, 1:00 p.m. – Southwest Library
  • Wednesday, Nov. 30, 3:30 p.m. – Southwest Library
Come into the library for quiet study time. Work in groups, complete homework and do other quiet projects. Librarians are on hand for help. Recommended for ages 13-18.

Tryon Tuesday Movie: Minions: The Rise of Gru

  • Tuesday, Nov. 8, 3 p.m. – Tryon Library
Enjoy yummy popcorn while you watch 12-year-old Gru plot to take over the world from his basement. Supervillan-y! (Rated PG, 2022, 90 minutes)

Turkey Coloring Contest

  • Nov. 1-15, during normal operating hours – Molino Library
That time of year has come back around again! Stop by and pick up a Turkey Coloring Sheet, and turn in your masterpiece by Nov. 22 to enter the contest. The winner will be announced on Nov. 23.

Turkey and Pilgrim Hats

  • Tuesday, Nov. 22, 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – Westside Library
Join us in making festive Thanksgiving crafts to celebrate the holiday.

Winter Reading Challenge: Beanstack

  • Nov. 21-Jan. 7 - Virtual, mywfpl.beanstack.com
Join West Florida Public Libraries in our Winter Reading Challenge! “Bookopoly” is a reading challenge for all ages. Kids, teens and adults are all encouraged to participate! Complete our “Bookopoly" themed reading activities and earn prizes and digital raffle tickets. Register at mywfpl.beanstack.org or stop by the library and pick up a paper copy of the challenge!

Veterans Day

  • Friday, Nov. 11, all day - All branches
West Florida Public Libraries will close in observance of the holiday. All branches will return to regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday

  • Friday, Nov. 25, all day - All branches
