K9 Highway Alerts Deputies To Meth

40

BONIFAY – On June 30, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 177.

Contact was made with the driver, identified as Mary Pape of Bonifay. During the interaction, K9 Highway conducted a free air sniff and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, which produced a ziplock bag containing methamphetamine inside a styrofoam cup. Mrs. Pape had previously attempted to walk away from the area with the same cup when asked to exit the vehicle.

Mary Pape was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
