Holmes County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on July 30.
We enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces at our backpack giveaway today in Ponce de Leon and Bonifay. They will be there until 11am today giving them away.
Holmes County Sheriff’s Office will have a few backpacks available at the Office and what is left over will be divided among the schools to be distributed.
Sheriff Tate would like to thank SRO deputies Frank Turberville and Lynn Lee, dispatcher Kylie Lewis, as well as Emergency Mangagement director Adrienne Owen and coordinator Cindy Wilson for their help in the giveways.
